A numismatic twist on the Amway scam.

Just check out the options section, and the prices they are charging. Rediculous!

I had someone offer this numismatic oppurtunity on craigslist. Seems the folks that fall for this stuff don't even know what a numismatic coin is. From what I understand about it so far, you just run a website like any other Amway type scam, you dont own or control any inventory, and within weeks youll be rolling in all that dough (sarcasm included).

I feel sorry for them.

Here is the letter he sent me to try and reel me in, I should note the huge error in just the 1st sentence. Also the 1st sentence of 2nd paragraph is suspect.

Hey xxxxxx let me give you give you more details. First of all I would like to tell you how I got involved. My name is Joseph Rej and I own several businesses already. Through my 20 plus years in business I have developed a very large network of business partners and some of them have turned into some great friends.

One of my companies I deal with high rollers, in Las Vegas. A former professional baseball player who filled me in on something his buddy got him involved in the other day. It had to deal with MS70 coins. Seeing that my first business was in collectibles I was very interested.

My buddy sent me to his site and told me just so you know this hasn't even officially launched yet. My ears perked up . I basically told him, lets cut to the chase. How do I make money?

So he offered to give my number to his friend who he played baseball with that got him involved and before you know it I was in.

I will give you the link to my site. However please understand this is at the ground level and the site in my opinion isn't the best. But go to the site, if you have any interest at all I strongly suggest you give me your number and I could just have my friends, friend. Todd give you a call and explain or answer any questions you may have.

"I'm sure, now that you have joined the team" ... somehow those opening words seem consistent with the Amway-ness.

how about $75 for a one day seminar where you can learn how to get rich buying gold !

wonder if there's any yuppies that would go for that.

I sent him a reply email calling out his mistakes. I told him to brush up on his english, its obvious its most likely not his first language. I mentioned he should try to throw in a sports car and a million dollar home reference.

I suggested he go to Apmex.com and check out the prices he can get real silver and gold for before he gets any more involved in this amazing oppurtunity.

I've seen this Numistakeidiot on at least 3 different cable shows just in the last 10-12 months.

He thinks that the Presidential coins are Numismatic. This from the same guy that when showing a legitimate coin like a nice BU mirrored Morgan with his manicured yet oily bare hands!

My wife knows metals but not Numismatics. When she hears him talking, she just starts laughing because even she knows that he doesn't have a clue.

I've been doin' this a lot longer than he has but the difference is, is that I know I'm sill learning.

This dude thinks he's arrived.

And, by the way, he has a couple apprentices out there that know even less yet eerily sound just like him.

Numistakeidiot clones!

Egads!

P.S. Firenhole, you had it right the first time: ...thief!

when the "thief" first began on tv he used too repeat every sentence he said:111::111::111: very annoying! When he changed networks they must of used shock therapy on him because he's now cured:36_1_32v: I must explain...I know about Mr Mike because of insomnia I developed years ago following 7 back operations, I do owe them "thieves" for getting me interested in coins, not much on tv at 3am, although I could have become an Evangelist, I know not much difference...
